M. Dias Branco has a lot to celebrate: the 71st anniversary of Las Acacias, the one-year milestone of acquisition and the arrival of Uruguayan flavors in Brazil. This acquisition marked the company’s entry into the foreign market, focusing on the pasta market, with products in the wheat flour, cake mix and sauces categories, among others. Furthermore, it is a solid and profitable company, which celebrated its 71st anniversary on October 12, and is one of the three leading pasta brands in Uruguay, with headquarters in Montevideo, the country’s capital.
And this important date couldn’t go unnoticed. Last November 18, in Montevideo, Las Acacias held its 71st anniversary celebration in Montevideo, where employees enjoyed various activities throughout the day, such as a quiz game, table tennis and games with a toast. In addition, the Porta-Vozes (“Spokesperson”) program was launched, where the kits were handed out to the members and the importance of the program for the company was discussed. Finally, employee Silvana Perez was honored for her 31 years with Las Acacias. Silvana has built a solid career, starting out as a Quality Assistant and currently as a Section Leader. Her outstanding commitment, dedication, values and leadership skills have led her to positions that have allowed her to become a reference in various sectors.
And as a gift, since October Las Acacias has been exporting its products to Brazil, with distribution starting in retail chains in the states of São Paulo and Ceará. The first supermarkets to receive the items, which arrived on shelves in November, are Super Mercado Padrão and Super Mercado Nori, in São Paulo, and the large regional chains Guará, Lagoa and Pinheiro, traditional in Ceará. The brand’s products could already be found in Rio Grande do Sul.
